Children of association members can become members themselves without any registration fee once they reach the age of sixteen, whether they are registered by birth or adoption.

Young members who have become part of the association will have the rights mentioned for members within the association. However, until they turn 25, they will not be penalized for not attending association meetings or various association events, nor for not participating in funeral services. Kids who are registered as member pay for funeral contribution & for any fundraising activities as a single member. Once they turn 25, however, the laws and regulations of the association will also apply to them.

Members who have registered as single parents pay the same monthly fee as family members. However, the fees for funeral arrangements and other administrative or penalty fees are based on the individual member’s payment scale.

Individuals or families wishing to become members of the association can read the bylaws, and if they agree to abide by them and meet the membership criteria, they can apply for membership by filling out the application form. Upon approval by the executive committee, they will complete the new member registration and become a member of the association.

  • Once you are a member of the association, you can continue your membership even if you move outside of the greater Toronto area.
  • In this case, there will be no penalties for not being able to attend association meetings or other events or funeral services due to the distance. However, you will still be responsible for paying any fees for various income-generating activities that the association organizes and additional contributions for funeral arrangements.
  • Members living more than fifty kilometers away from Toronto and its surroundings will not have to perform the funeral themselves in the event of a death threat to themselves or their family; the association will cover the expenses, but will not require the members to be present at the funeral service.

  • Once you have completed the membership registration fee and become a member, you are eligible to participate in the organization's voting process immediately.
  • If you fulfill your membership obligations for three months, you can be elected as a member of the Nomination Committee.
  • If you fulfill your membership obligations for 12 months, you can be elected to serve on various subcommittees.
  • If you fulfill your membership obligations for two years, you can be elected to serve on the Executive Committee.
